English Cover of Unravel by 【JubyPhonic】DJ-JO Dubstep Remix

Original Credits

  • Music and Lyrics: TK from Ling Tosite

COVER CREDITS:

I always liked listening to covers of Unravel (Tokyo Ghoul 1st opening), whether it’s an English cover or a Japanese cover. Now this one caught my attention. It still has a few views compared to the others, I wonder why because this cover of Unravel is really great. The reason why this caught my attention because DJ-JO’s dubstep remix was included (DJ-JO’s Unravel ft. Hatsune Miku – Dubstep, which was also one of my favorite covers of Unravel)

If you have the time, you can listen to this if you want, it’s really great and it reminds me of the awesomeness of the story of Tokyo Ghoul (the manga version to be exact). You can also subscribe to her channel if you want to, I guess your subscription will surely help a lot.

Blog update for the month of October

giphy (1)

Lately I’ve been quite inactive. I’ll blame it on my busy schedule, there’s really a lot of work to do for this month. Projects to be passed, exams coming closer again, and some other works. This month makes me really tired and wishes that I can just sleep with nothing to worry about. Also, I have a problem, I procrastinate a lot, so it really takes along time to finish some of my works.

I’ll cut with the chase. For the month of October, or maybe up to November or December (I hope that it will not be longer than this). I’ll become somewhat inactive. The first goal that I had when I started blogging is to make 20 blogs per month. But because of certain reasons, I need to post blogs less often for a while.

Sorata_x_cat
Don’t worry, when I said that I’ll become inactive, it doesn’t mean that I’ll not write blogs anymore; it means that I’ll just post blogs less often. I’ll still read your blog posts, so there’s nothing to worry about. Hoping that I would start to blog normally again. Hoping to see you guys again soon (It’s not like I will miss you guys or anything, B-B-Baka!).

Bored at class…..

12115482_1060605447285891_2811787926993970607_n

You know you’re really bored at class when you started to draw Hatsune Miku.

There are times when you will find a class that is really boring. It is either you listen to the teacher, or you sleep, or you do random things that would make the time go faster. Which doesn’t exactly work, as you do random things, time goes slower and slower, the same with listening to the lessons which you aren’t interested of. But if you sleep, time would be a lot faster. Just don’t let yourself get caught. If by any chance that there isn’t any teacher around, you can sleep all the way you want.

So, what do you usually do when you’re bored at class? Do you sleep, or do you do random things, or do you just accept your fate and listen to the lesson?

Noragami – Review

Synopsis

The world consists of two parts: the near shore and far shore. The near shore is the place where people reside, while the far shore is the place for deities and ayakashi, which are emotional fragments that can posses humans and cause trouble. So it is a deity’s responsibility to remove those ayakashi from the near shore with the help of weapons called Shinki, made from the spirits of dead people.

Yato is a minor deity of war without shrine. Together with his Shinki, Tomone, he runs a Delivery Wish Granting Service, granting wishes for only 5 yen. After his Shinki leaves him on less than agreeable terms, he decides to run simple errands that do not involve ayakashi-related matters. While on a mission to find a lost kitten, he is nearly hit by a bus, but saved by a girl named Iki Hiyori. Hiyori dies for a moment, but then comes back to life. This, however, causes Hiyori’s soul to become unstable, leaving her body frequently. So by offering 5 yen, she asks Yato to fix her body… but Yato cannot help without a Shinki, so Hiyori accompanies him on his journey to find one, in the hopes of becoming normal again. But behind Yato’s kind-hearted face lies a twisted past…

It’s been a long time since I made another blog, so here I am again. To start off, I’ll make a review of Noragami before I begin to watch the second season (Noragami Aragoto).

Story

Noragami is a supernatural anime with a god-themed kind of plot. The main character of this anime is Yato, the god of calamity. Although Yato is a deity, he doesn’t have his own shrine, so he’s known as a stray god. Hence the name Noragami, “nora” means a stray shinki, and “gami/kami” means god.

The world here consists of two different parts: the near shore and far shore. The near shore is the place where people reside, which means this is where we can see normal people and normal things; the far shore is the place for deities and ayakashi or in another word, phantom. Phantoms are emotional fragments that can posses humans and cause trouble, basically they’re like ghosts.

The story starts to develop when Hiyori Iki was introduced. When Yato was crossing the street, he was nearly hit by a bus. Hiyori, the only person who saw Yato cross the street, saved him. Due to saving Yato, Hiyori’s soul became unstable. She’s now able to see the two parts of the world: the near and the far shore. But she can’t control when her soul will switch to another world.

Characters

Yato is a god that doesn’t have a shrine. Basically he’s a stray god. Although Yato may seem like he’s useless. Yato is considered as one of the dangerous gods. That’s why he’s given the title as the God of Calamity.

At first, Yato has a Shinki named Tomone. Yato runs a Delivery Wish Granting Service, granting wishes for only 5 yen. But after that, his Shinki decided to leave him. So, he just decided to do simple jobs, like cleaning the bathroom of other people, etc. He then found another Shinki named Yukine. But Yukine is really troublesome, whenever Yukine commits a sin, Yato is affected as well.

Hiyori Iki is the human main character in the story. Because of saving Yato, her soul can see both parts of the world. But she’s unable to control when her soul will switch to the other world. If her soul will go to the far shore, her body will remain asleep.

Other deities are: Kofuku, god of poverty; Tenjin, god of learning; Bishamon, god of war. I nearly forgot their character personalities because it have been a long time. So, I will just include their name.

Art & Sound

The art of this anime is really great. It’s perfect for the mood and for the genre of the anime, which the anime has a supernatural and an action genre.

The soundtrack is also great. Like in any another anime, if there is a fight scene, of course there’s also an awesome soundtrack. It fits the mood and the atmosphere of the anime

Overall

Overall, I recommend this anime if you’re into the supernatural genre. The first season makes you beg for more. But no worries, because there’s a second season currently ongoing. You’ll love each of the characters here of the story (well not all of them because there are also some antagonists). Of course in every anime, we can never forget about the ships. So, it’s a Hiyori x Yato for me. Now, for my rating. I want to give this anime a rating of 9/10.

Key’s Visual Novel ‘Rewrite’ gets a TV Anime Adaptation

Rewrite is a fantasy romance Visual Novel developed by Key and published by Visual Arts in 2011 for the PC. It is Key’s 8th visual novel, following the success of Air, Clannad and Little Busters! Many key members of the staff return to produce the new game, including Itaru Hinoue (Air, Clannad) who once again helmed the project. Jun Maeda (Clannad, Angel Beats!) also returned to compose the music of the game, but did not write any of the scenarios.

Rewrite is set in the fictional city Kazamatsuri where treeplanting and afforestation have caused the city to become overgrown with trees and flowers in much the same way that other cities are filled by buildings. However, while most of the city appears to be rural, there are many traditional city elements as well. While set in a modern setting, the city also gives off a strange sense of nostalgia.

Tennouji Kotarou lives here. He’s a high school student who has the ability to rewrite his own body; he can become stronger and faster at any time he chooses. He investigates supernatural mysteries with five girls from his school.

A visual novel from key that will be turned into an TV anime adaptation. Key is known for their success of their visual novel of Clannad, Air, and Little Busters!

The announcement was from the last episode of Charlotte, so maybe P.A. Works will take up as being the producer of Key’s ‘Rewrite’. I don’t know the story of Rewrite because I haven’t played the visual novel yet. But judging from the PV, I think that there’s some supernatural genre mixed in the story. But I heard certain people say that Rewrite has a good story. Well, we’ll know it in the release of the anime adaptation, that is if they follow the story of the visual novel correctly.

The TV anime adaptation is currently on production. There are no release dates yet that are announced. So all we can do is to keep on waiting for more announcements.

Charlotte – Review

Synopsis

While on the surface Yuu Otosaka appears to be just another charming and intelligent teenager, he has a secret—he has the ability to slip into people’s minds and fully control their body for five seconds at a time. Yuu has been using this skill for years to gain the highest grades, which allowed him to enter a prestigious high school.

When the enigmatic Nao Tomori catches Yuu using his power, she coerces him and his sister Ayumi into transferring to Hoshinoumi Academy, a school for students with supernatural abilities. The student council of the school, led by Nao, is tasked with secretly tracking down adolescents who abuse their powers. Yuu is forced to join the student council and together, they face formidable challenges that bring him closer to the shocking truth that his own, seemingly incomplete ability, might be more powerful than he could have ever imagined.

An original story from Jun Maeda, creator of Angel Beats and Clannad, Charlotte explores the supernatural lives of these teenagers and the price they must pay for being special.

Ok, guys I’m back and as I have promised, I’ll now continue to blog for the month of October. I watched the last episode of Charlotte a week ago but I already exceeded my 20 blog per month, so I will just write the review today.

Story

The story of Charlotte is rather supernatural. There are certain people in the world that have abilities, each with their own unique kind of ability. For example, the ability to become invisible, the ability to teleport, and the like. Although these abilities may seem useful, it’s considered as diseases that wears off when these ability wielders reaches adolescence.

The ability wielders doesn’t have a perfect ability. In fact, their abilities lack something. Each of their abilities are not perfect and has some kind of disadvantages to it.

At first, the story looks like it’s like a normal anime with a normal plot or story, a normal boy going to school and uses his abilities to do something wrong but then his personality changed after he met a certain character. I guess for the first few episodes, the plot will flow like that, but as soon as you go further, the darker it gets. I mean, this anime has some really unexpected plot twists.

Characters

One of the main characters in here is Yu Otosaka. He is known to have the ability to possess people, but only within a 5 second radius, I think. As I have said earlier, the abilities are considered as imperfect, so Yu Otasaka’s ability lack something to it. But in the later episodes, you will find out what his true ability is.

The character development here is quite normal. Some people liked the character development, some people don’t. Well I can’t explain if it is rushed or a bit too slow, but for me it’s alright for a 13 episodes anime. All of the characters here have their own unique personality and unique ability. Even the supporting characters, each characters plays a very important role of the story.

Art & Sound

The art kinda reminds of Angel Beats. Well, I guess because it’s from the same producer. But I guess Charlotte is more advanced and has more improvement than Angel Beats when it comes to art.

For the sound, the opening [“Bravely You” by Lia ] has an Angel Beats vibe to it. Maybe because, I think I red some information that the person who sang the opening of Charlotte, is also the person who sang the opening of Angel Beats. The soundtracks are also great, reminds me so much of Angel Beats.

Overall

Overall, this anime is great to watch. If you want something feely or a really emotional anime, you might consider watching this. Although the feely scenes will start early, an even more heavy feel factor will arrive once you reached up to episode 6. Well, it does have some comedy, but for every comedy, there’s always a drama or emotional genre that are mixed into those type of genres (comedy). This anime messed with my head, but not that much because it’s easy to understand the plot twist of the story. I was expecting a sad ending……… (suspense). So for the rating, I’ll rate this anime a 9/10.
