Pixel Art #1

image

So, I was browsing through Google Play Store and found this app. It’s called dotpict and it’s really easy to use if you want to create some pixel arts. Creating a pixel art takes a lot of time and a lot of patience. Still, it’s really fun making it. I’m really bored here because my laptop broke, but making this managed to kill me some time and I had fun making it.

The Time Has Come

I knew that someday this will happen, I never thought that it would be this soon. So, you guys might be wondering what happened, well my laptop had the black screen of death. My laptop is almost 5 years old now, I think? So, that must have been the cause why it died, because of old age! I’m still finding ways on how to fix it. If it comes to the point where I can’t find a way to fix the problem, I guess I’ll just wait till I get another laptop. I don’t know how long it will take, maybe a few months? I personally find it hard to write blog entries using mobile, so I might be taking a break from blogging for a while
“You’re already on a break.”
Who said that?
“It’s me, your inner self, you already took a break from blogging like a month ago, you’re on hiatus, remember?”
Ohh, yeah that’s right.
Well, see ya guys in a few months or so. *flies away*

Story (9/10)

The story starts with a cheerful, talkative, young girl, Naruse Jun. Because of her being talkative, she said something to her mom that caused her parents to be torn apart. She accidentally spilled out that her father was committing adultery to her mom without having an idea. Well, I can’t blame her, she’s really young so she doesn’t have that much idea of the world yet. One day, a mysterious egg appeared to her when she was alone. The egg then sealed away her ability to talk in order for her to stop saying words that might hurt other people.

Time skipped and I think Naruse’s now in her high school years. Still, she’s unable to talk because of the curse and the only she can express or talk is by writing on her small notebook. Every time she tries to talk, she gets a stomachache. One day, she was nominated randomly by the teacher to become a member of the “Community Outreach Council”, along with Sakagami Takumi, Tasaki Daiki, and Nitou Natsuki. At first, the members didn’t want to participate, but as it goes they had no choice but to give in. The teacher who nominated them suggested that they should do a musical play.

Naruse Jun got to get close to Sakagami Takumi. She said what happened to her, about her parents, and also about the curse. Sakagami believed Naruse even though the story seems fictitious. She then discovered that there’s a way that she can talk without her having a stomachache, and that is through singing.  So, they went on with the teacher’s suggestion and decided to do the musical, Naruse being the main heroine of the musical. The members of the Community Outreach Council talked to the class on what they’re planning to do. The class thought of it as impossible, but they somehow got the whole class to participate in the event.

Characters (8/10)

This is an anime movie, so you might think that the character development of the characters are fast paced, but in my opinion, I think it’s pretty ok. Knowing that the producer of this movie is as the same producer of AnoHana, even the character designs were similar to the characters of AnoHana, the characters of the movie actually has a different personality than AnoHana. At first I thought that the personalities of the characters would be as same as it is in AnoHana, but I was wrong. Though, the characters may have some comparison from AnoHana, but I feel like the characters of the movie is entirely different and has a more different and unique personality.

Arts and Sound (10/10)

As for the animation and art style, it relaxing to watch and it’s really simple. It also resembles the art of AnoHana, well because it’s from the producer and studio.

Now what struck me the most is the soundtracks. Yeah the thing that they’re going to do is a musical play, so it’s obvious that there’s a song waiting for you at the end. All I can say is, the soundtracks are breathtaking. It fits the mood really well and also the scenery. What’s truly breathtaking was the musical play that they’ve performed. I’m certain that your kokoro will go doki doki as the musical play scene comes up.

Overall (9/10)

I would recommend watching this if you’ve liked AnoHana. Though, if you haven’t seen AnoHana, I also recommend watching this if you’re into emotional and anime with deep meanings. An egg fairy, seems childish right? But I tell you, that egg fairy has a deep meaning to it once you finish the movie. I was hyped when I saw the news for this movie the first time and I’m not disappointed. The movie was indeed very dramatic and heartwarming. Giving the viewers really mixed up emotions, like the feely feel that feels feely. Yeah, I got to say that the ending got my emotions really mixed up. Didn’t expect that to happen……….really didn’t expect that. So, I’m giving this movie a solid rating of 9/10. Great job, producers and studio of AnoHana, you guys really did it this time.
