I’ve always wanted to watch Trinity Seven; in fact, it’s on my plan to watch on MyAnimeList.  Some of my friends said it was good and they said that it resembles High School DxD. I tried watching few episodes of High School DxD once and I didn’t continue it because I lost interest of the extreme ecchi-ness of the series. It might be the same to Trinity Seven but what caught my interest is the art style of the show. I’ve decided to give Trinity Seven a try someday but I keep on forgetting until I completely forgot to watch it.

Now, I saw the news of an upcoming film of Trinity Seven. I remembered it again, the anime that I forgot to watch. Well, maybe I’ll watch the movie instead but I may not get the story of the movie. So, I might as well watch the TV anime series first.

To be honest, this upcoming movie of Sword Art Online looks promising. I know that the TV anime series of Sword Art Online kind of has a neutral reputation. Yes, the first arc of the 1st season of SAO is somewhat good and pretty enjoyable, which is also known as the SAO arc. However, what really made SAO have a bad reputation is because of the second arc, which is also known as the ALO arc.

I’ve seen a lot of people hating on this particular arc. They’re saying that it’s sh*t, it’s full of harem, and most of all, wincest *winks*. Also, don’t forget about that blonde bastard. Well, I think that this arc holds a lot of potential if the story was written in a better way. Kirito was made to be more overpowered in this specific arc and… it is not really deconstructed on how he learned to access the Cardinal System.

Well, enough for the anime. For the movie like I said, it looks promising and I’m quite interested because of the movie’s original story that takes place after the Mother’s Rosario arc. I can’t help but say that I’m really looking forward to seeing this movie and I’m hoping that it doesn’t end up all harem-ish.

(Koe no Katachi (Manga) – 150 Words Summary)

The movie of Koe no Katachi is getting closer and closer. It will be premiered on September 17 (Saturday) in Japanese theaters. I’m glad that I’ve read the manga of Koe no Katachi and I’m happy that I will soon see it animated.

For me, it’s one of the best stories I’ve ever read or known. I barely read manga and I always tend to watch anime. But, I gave this one an exception and decided to read it. I’m glad that I read this manga because of how the story is really unique and heart touching.

Given that the manga is rather long and the movie may not cover all the contents of the manga, I hope that even if it may not cover all the contents, it will still capture the essence of the story of the manga. I have high hopes for this upcoming movie and I can’t wait to watch it.

Tokyo Ghoul Gets a Live-Action Film Adaptation

The wrap-around jacket band on the seventh volume of Sui Ishida‘sTokyo Ghoul:re manga announced on Thursday that Ishida’s original Tokyo Ghoul manga will get a live-action film.

Ishida serialized Tokyo Ghoul in Shueisha‘s Weekly Young Jump from 2011 to 2014, and is now serializing Tokyo Ghoul:reTokyo Ghoulinspired two anime series, several OVAs, PlayStation Vita and smartphone games, and a stage play.

I have mixed feeling about Tokyo Ghoul having a live action movie adaptation. Normally, live action films tend to be not that really good in general. Though, there are some live action films that I’ve watched that really resembled the anime or manga and it was really good; there are also live action films that have different stories and is completely original from the manga or anime.

One example of a good live action film adaptation that I’ve watched is AnoHana. For me, I personally think that the live action film adaptation of AnoHana captured the same emotions like in the anime. That’s what made it good and made it really emotional to watch. A live action movie adaptation of Tokyo Ghoul on the other hand is rather really hard to think if it’s going to be good. One problem is the theme of the movie. Of course the story involves ghouls, a human-like creature that has blood tentacles (kagune) coming out of its back, so it would need a lot of good effects and good CGI for it to please the viewers.

Most of the people think that how the Japanese use CGIs is not that really good. Well, the TG live action movie is totally going to have CGI in it. So, I have doubts that if it’s going to be a good movie or it would end up being a crappy one instead.

No Game No Life Movie – Riku and Shuvi

This post may contain spoilers. Read at your own risk.

Shuvi Ngnl_v6_illust_(7)

Shuvi was the first Ex-machina to be introduced in Tet‘s story which he was telling Izuna. In the story she seeks to understand the human [heart] and was found by Riku.

She looks like a young human but with several differences, being two tails coming out from her back and other machine like features protruding from around her body. She bears many similarities with Shiro. During her time with humans other than Riku, she wore a robe to cover the mechanical parts on her body, including the piece on her head. However, the tail was uncoverable (as it was her power source) Riku decided to go calling it equipment.

Her behavior is similar to that of a stereotypical artificial intelligence. She can absorb and process data and intelligence very quickly and act in the appropriate manner, a unique characteristic of her race. However, she seems to have difficulty in comprehending emotions and desires, otherwise characterized by her as the [heart]. Over time spent with Riku, she seems to have started to develop her own [heart]. Her expressions and feelings became more vivid over time.

After setting her personality to mimic that of a “shy Imanity survivor” and spending a year around Riku’s colony, she is unable to reset her personality back to the default monotonous mannerisms of the Ex-machina, stating that she is “stuck” in that mode.

Riku Ngnl_v6_illust_(6)

Riku was an 18 years old Imanity who lived during the Great War on Disboard. He was one of the main protagonists in Tet‘s story.

He encountered Shuvi while going on an expedition and brought her to his colony after having lost in a game against her (albeit willingly, as he judged that winning was impossible, so instead he changed the bets to his favor).

He bears many similarities with Sora, being his hairstyle, slender body, black eyes and his face.

Ever since his home was destroyed and he took over as leader of his colony, he’s had a somewhat split personality. When the figurative lock on his [heart] is locked, he appears emotionless, cold, and calculating. When his heart is unlocked, the emotions he bottled up are released (often violently). His endeavors with Shuvi has since lessened his split personality and he appears to be more open around her.

So, the movie will actually star these characters, Riku and Shuvi. Though, they may seem to look a lot like Sora and Shiro, they are actually diferrent characters from Sora and Shiro.

The movie will adapt volume 6 titled It Seems the Gamer Couple Challenged the World, it is a prequel story that covers the Great War between the Gods. The story is a little darker and me reading some articles and wikias, I got myself spoiled.

(Source: GoBoiano)

I don’t actually know these characters and I have no idea of their background story. But, I’m kind of liking these characters just by looking through their appearances. They resemble Sora and Shiro by appearance and Riku and Shivu are actually couples. So far, I’m looking forward for the movie and I’m waiting to see how these new characters are. But, I’m guessing that I’m going to love the new characters even though I don’t know much of their details.

No Game No Life Gets an Anime Movie Adaptation

Production on an anime film editon of Yuu Kamiya‘s No Game, No Life light novel series has been green-lit. The staff made the announcement during the streamed MF Bunko J Summer School Festival 2016 event on Sunday, and Kamiya drew the following piece of art to celebrate the news:

The story of No Game, No Life centers around Sora and Shiro, a brother and sister whose reputations as brilliant NEET (Not in Education, Employment, or Training)hikikomori (shut-in) gamers have spawned urban legends all over the Internet. These two gamers even consider the real world as just another “crappy game.” One day, they are summoned by a boy named “God” to an alternate world. There, God has prohibited war and declared this to be a world where “everything is decided by games” — even national borders. Humanity has been driven back into one remaining city by the other races. Will Sora and Shiro, the good-for-nothing brother and sister, become the “Saviors of Humanity” on this alternate world? “Well, let’s start playing.”

Kamiya launched the light novel series in 2012 with his own art after illustrating another light novel series that spawned an anime, A Dark Rabbit Has Seven Lives(Itsuka Tenma no Kuro-Usagi). Media Factory will publish the ninth volume in August. Yen Press is publishing the light novel series in North America, while Seven Seas Entertainment is publishing Mashiro Hiiragi‘s manga adaptation.

The light novel series already inspired a television anime series that premiered in April 2014. Crunchyroll streamed the television anime as it aired, and Sentai Filmworks released it on home video in North America.

I’m literally happy with all the upcoming anime movies that are going to be released. This one is far by the most I’m waiting for and the most I am hyped for. Sadly, the anime doesn’t have a second season yet. I have read in some articles that the author of the light novel of No Game No Life got a copyright issue. I guess that’s the reason why the series hasn’t been able to produce another season or sequel. Despite that, they managed to give news about an upcoming movie in which the story will take place before the anime (I’ve read it in GoBoiano which I will write the details on the next blog. Seems like the characters for the movie are not Sora and Shiro and that’s ok for me. Which means new characters will be introduced to the story. Well, at least it’s better than nothing.
