Happy Late Miku Day!

In Japanese, three can be pronounced as both “mi” and “san.” Nine can be pronounced as both “ku” and “kyou.” Therefore, March 9 can be pronounced, for the sake of pronunciation play, as “Miku” and “sankyuu,” which sounds like thank you. That is why March 9th is day for appreciation of Hatsune Miku.

Even though it’s already March 10, and I’m already late because I had to review yesterday for our final exam. I still want to join the fun, so Happy (Late) Miku Day everyone!

    1. Well, it’s not technically her birthday. March 9 is what you can call a Japanese pun because March 9 can be pronounce as Miku. Hence, the Japanese celebrate March 9 as Miku Day.

    1. For you not to be confused of her birthday, March 9 can be pronounced as ‘Miku’. Hence, the Japanese celebrate this day as Miku day, so it’s not technically her birthday.
